15 Als im Jahr 1957 die ersten 12 Modelle aus der Schuco-Piccolo- Reihe vorgestellt wurden, ahnte damals wohl keiner, dass sich diese Modelle – selbst nach 60 Jahren – immer noch hoher Beliebtheit erfreuen. Das macht wohl die schlichte, robuste und somit char- mante Ausführung dieser Modelle aus, die ursprünglich durch die damals neue Druckgusstechnik begründet war. Auch heute beein- drucken die Schuco-Piccolos durch ihre tolle Laufeigenschaft und ihre schwere Zinkdruckgußausführung. When the first 12 models in the Schuco-Piccolo series were laun- ched in 1957 nobody had any idea at that stage that these models would still enjoy immense popularity sixty years later. This is no doubt attributed to the simple, robust and thus charming design of the models, which originally owed their appearance to the new die-cast technology of the time. Schuco Piccolos still make a good impression today on account of their excellent running qualities and their heavy zinc die-casting design.
